Who am I?

My name is Julian Lopez. I am a photographer born and raised in Chicago, IL, and I attend Pomona College in Claremont, CA, where I am majoring in physics. Five years ago, I fell in love with photography. Then, in 2023, I won a gold medal in the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest for my photo Face-Off. I have honed my skills across various photography styles, focusing on action, landscapes, and candid shots of people. I love the thrill of capturing the perfect moment, and my camera pushes me to go on adventures I otherwise never would. Over the past year, I started shooting film and learned the process of developing negatives and making prints.

I am currently in Melbourne, Australia, on study abroad, documenting my travels and what Australia has to offer!

I shoot on my Sony A7CR and my Canon AE-1.
